The Road Home

What do you See? Dec/04/2018

It’s a long way to Forever

Seems I’ve been walking miles

And miles, days and more days

But I can see it, gleaming ahead

Creator’s colors, Crayola box full

Spark-blooming fireworks play with sun

Video preview of joys to come…

As if balloons were tied to my shoulders

I feel lighter with every step

Lifted from road ‘neath hurrying feet

Eager, approaching God’s front porch…

“Welcome to Glory, son—you’re home!”

  1. A joyful walk back home. I love this: “approaching God’s front porch”. Reading your light-filled poem I became that child of God. Thank you for sharing.
