Gone, mall-crawling daze
Pulse-jumping hypnotic trance
Stopping at each shop
Arms breaking with weighty bags…
Now, Amazon hooks my debt
Too many allures
At fault, over-gifting heart
Pays bills all New Year♥

I shop Amazon and know many folks do. What I wonder…why are the stores still crowded this time of year? More than 5 lines but it’s ok the poem was fun to read, thanks for sharing it.

Oh Patricia, I’m SO sorry! I was operating on 2 hrs sleep, and I had the 5 lines…then decided it needed 3 more–gosh, what a goof! I’ll take an “F” and promise to stick to the guidelines next week!!

There are no failing grades at Patricia’s Place! In Other Words is meant to be a challenge but more importantly a fun exercise. Just keep writing. 😉

Well, I just feel a bit foolish…grew up “rule-bound”–a kind of chaotic legalism 🙂 I enjoy your prompts so much, especially the 5-line limit. Thanks much for everything–blessings to you! ❤
