Titles Tell the Story

V.J.’s Weekly Challenge #26: Titles

Prompt:  select from your own work, enough titles, in the order you created them, to find new meaning.

Waiting for

The road Home

To appear…

My breakwater, Gone-love

Remains a life-unlived

No surge of expression

Left in soul, familiarity

Affords paltry drug-like balm

Palliative remedy

For, heart is shade

Within shadows

So tiptoe, please

Our painted world

Is where mercurial

Madness stalks

Barely audible above agitated sea’s tumultuous waves, spewed foam…flock of gulls wing and wail, dip and soar, mimic ocean’s throaty roar.

I ponder, listen intently for message, mystery deep beneath; treasure carried, trustworthy, by avian heart’s true weep.

And so they bring words to the shore, bow their heads before they speak—“My Lady, your Love, fiercely faithful, passions belonging only to you…regrettably, he breathes no more”.
